Listening to the guitars on "Yasmin The Light" from the Explosions in the Sky album, for some reason, made me think of this:The video doesn't do the recording, or live version justice. On his super-official DVD, there is a sweet live video of "Specialist" where Sage is with his band, AOI (named pre-De La album), where the guitar interpolation mid-second verse is replaced with the "Halloween" movie theme song kills it (not that the sample has never been used, but it came on unexpectedly, like a girl who squirtgasms). Also, Sage is wearing discman headphones for some reason (pre-DJ No Spin Zone).
Anyhow, I used to hate this album, but "Specialist" alone won me over.
