Slam poet champion. Movie writer/actor. Musician. Saul Williams is truly a modern day renaissance man. A great lyricist, he has toured with Trent Reznor (who produced his last, internet only release), made a record with Rick Rubin (hail, hail), and made this. It's his second album and it's really effin good. Mars Volta produced some of this, and he gives shout outs to Planes Mistaken For Stars (midwest represent). If that hasn't convinced you, maybe when the "Bridge Is Over" drum beat drops halfway into Black Stacey, where he admits he "used to hump (his) pillow at night" thinking about different girls from school will. Talk about keeping it real...
