2Pac - Strictly 4 My N***** (1993)

And now the first CD I ever owned. Do The Bartman led to this: Gangsta Rap. 2Pac was a good artist for at least 3 albums, though his frenzied fans often give him a bad posthemus rap (no pun intended). This album in particular is about as sonically deep as anything he did (Dre produced songs not included), and, for all the glory that's thrusted upon "Dear Mama," we see Tupac go the opposite direction here on "Papa'z Song," where, upon hearing that "Daddy's home," 2Pac replies: "So. You act like that means something to me." At that point in my life it did.
